Hand-held Tension Meter
The Zivy hand-held Tension Meters accurately measure the running line tension of yarns and fibers. Well-known and used worldwide for circular knitting and similar applications, the ZIVY TEN model Tension Meter is pocket-sized and a favorite for mechanics and machine operators.
They feature two precision ball-bearing mounted V-grooved rollers capable of measuring high line speeds. 12 models are offered starting at 0.5 - 3 cN up to 50 - 170 cN. All models supplied in a foam-fitted plastic carrying case. NIST-Traceable Calibration Certificate is optionally available.
Tension Meter Operation
The Zivy tension meter is designed for one-hand operation. To aqcuire sample, place the material between the two guide rollers. Push and hold the button on the top of the instrument. The outer roll will be pivoted to the top and the device is ready to measure.
